Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a leading independent firm who are seeking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Senior to join the team within their Stockton on Tees office.

The role will involve a mixture of accounts, tax and audit work and you will gain exposure to a diverse client base including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a variety of industry sectors.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading audits assignments on a range of businesses as well as having experience of preparing statutory and management accounts for both audit and non-audit clients. You may be ACA / ACCA Qualified or at the final stages of your studies with significant practice experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Act as an advisor to owner managed businesses on a range of accounts and business issues
Leading of audit assignments (from planning through to conclusion) for significant audit engagements including supervision of staff and client management
Review work prepared, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards/requirements
Monitor budget and understand commercial aspects involved such as billings and collections
Reporting to the manager/partner in charge
Preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts for a range of client types and sizes
Preparation of business/corporate taxation computations and returns, dealing with some routine associated tax queries

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience of acting on Audit assignments is essential
