Clark Wood are currently recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Alton, Hampshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA / ACCA part-qualified, finalist or experienced Semi Senior looking to develop their career within a supportive firm offering a varied client portfolio, strong technical exposure and genuine progression opportunities.
The successful candidate will gain experience across both audit and accounts, working with a range of clients including owner-managed businesses, SMEs and corporate entities.
The Role
As an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with and managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and other entities.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and supporting with tax compliance work.
- Working closely with Managers and Partners to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members where required.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact.
- Supporting with ad hoc assignments, advisory projects and due diligence work.
- Contributing to the continued development and success of the wider team.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- ACA / ACCA part-qualified, finalist or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- Exposure to audit, accounts preparation and corporation tax.
- Strong attention to detail and good technical ability.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine desire to progress and develop within a growing accountancy firm.
- Salary of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
- Study support towards ACA / ACCA qualifications.
- Broad exposure to audit and accounts assignments.
