Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior / Senior to join their friendly and supportive team in Devizes.

The Role

Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you will take responsibility for a range of audit assignments while also supporting with accounts and tax work.

Your responsibilities will include:

Completing audits from planning through to completion for a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, charities, academies and clubs
Preparing audit files for Manager review
Providing support and guidance to junior members of the team during audit assignments
Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients
Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
Preparing VAT returns
Reviewing straightforward accounts and tax returns where required
Supporting the development and training of AAT trainees

About You

Ideally minimum 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
Previous audit experience, ideally with experience of taking audits through from planning to completion
Good knowledge of accounts preparation and audit processes
Strong communication and client relationship-building skills
Organised with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
Accurate, proactive and solution-focused
Confident working both independently and as part of a team
