Accountancy practice recruitment specialists, Clark Wood, are working with a highly progressive and prestigious firm of chartered accountants in Hereford who are looking to add an ambitious Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to join their growing team.

The ideal individual will have varied general practice experience, including experience of assisting on Audit assignments, and will hold either the AAT qualification or may have begun studying towards the ACA / ACCA qualifications. Candidates who do not have audit experience as yet but have a genuine desire to gain this, will also be considered.

As an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior your role will involve a mixture of accounts, tax and audit work and you will gain exposure to a diverse client base including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a variety of industry sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assisting the audit seniors and managers
Completing audit testing at client’s premises
Assisting with planning and completion of audits
Attending stocktakes at client's premises
Preparation and review of statutory accounts
Preparation of corporate tax computations
Review of clients VAT returns
Assisting clients with bookkeeping

Skills:

AAT Qualified, ACA / ACCA Students or Part Qualified
Experience of assisting on audit assignments or a genuine interest in developing in this area
Experience of working in practice is essential
