Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are looking to speak with ambitious Accounts & Audit Semi Seniors on behalf a leading independent firm of chartered accountants who are looking to grow their team in Birkenhead.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a successful, growing team where you will assist with the completion of audit assignments, as well as having responsibility for the preparation of accounts and the associated tax work for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

This varied role will be focused towards accounts and tax compliance work primarily with the audit aspect of the role accounting for around 30-40% of the overall workload.

For this Accounts & Audit Semi Senior position, the ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified and looking to begin their ACA / ACCA studies or, may have commenced their ACA / ACCA studies already. You will have experience of working within practice and of undertaking a mixed Audit and Accounts role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
Preparation of accounts for sole traders, and partnerships
Assist in the preparation of the audit plan and ensures it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives

Skills:

AAT Qualified or ACA / ACCA Students
Experience of assisting on audit assignments
Experience of working within practice is essential
