Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working looking to speak with an ambitious Accounts & Audit Semi Senior on behalf of a highly progressive firm of chartered accountants in Southend-on-Sea.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to work as an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior as part of a successful team where you will assist with the completion of audit assignments, as well as having responsibility for the preparation of year-end accounts and the associated tax work for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified and looking to begin their ACA / ACCA studies or, may have commenced their ACA / ACCA studies already. You will have experience of working within practice and of undertaking a mixed Audit and Accounts role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
Preparation of accounts for sole traders, and partnerships
Assist in the preparation of the audit plan and ensures it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives

Skills:

Part Qualified ACA / ACCA or AAT Qualified
Experience of assisting on audit assignments
Experience of working within practice is essential
