Accounts & Audit Manager

Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a leading and highly respected regional firm of chartered accountants in Manchester who are seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts & Audit Manager to join their growing team.

As the Audit & Accounts Manager you will work directly with partners and will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients from a broad range of industry sectors, taking responsibility for all services provided to these clients. Typical clients would include medium sized corporate businesses, OMBs and subsidiaries of overseas companies.

You will be responsible for managing the audit process from planning through to completion, ensuring the deployment of appropriate staff levels for each assignment.

Aside from the client management responsibilities the successful candidate will also contribute to the day to day management and training of staff. This will include having responsibility for conducting staff appraisals throughout the year to ensure continuous development for individual team members.

You will also be involved in business development activities including presenting to new and existing clients with a view to winning new business.

The ideal candidate for the role will be ACA / ACCA qualified and will have a wealth of experience split between accounts, tax and audit from an established practice background with previous staff management experience.
