Accounts & Audit Manager

​Our client, a firm of Chartered Accountants has an excellent presence across the South and as a result of sustained growth and success, they now keen to add an experienced and driven Accounts & Audit Manager who can help to enhance their excellent reputation through the delivery of the highest level of client service to some of the firm’s premier clients.

As an Accounts & Audit Manager in their Southampton office you will manage a portfolio of audit clients alongside the preparation of accounts and corporation tax computations/returns for limited companies.

Ad hoc duties will arise in supporting the local partners as necessary.

You will have strong experience of working within practice and have exposure to the essential elements of client service and delivery. You will ideally be working within a Managerial capacity already, or aspiring to, and will have strong people supervisory experience and a desire to develop.

You will be responsible for managing the audit process from planning through to completion, ensuring the deployment of appropriate staff levels for each assignment.

Aside from the client management responsibilities the successful candidate will also contribute to the day to day management and training of staff. This will include having responsibility for conducting staff appraisals throughout the year to ensure continuous development for individual team members.

You may also be involved in business development activities including presenting to new and existing clients with a view to winning new business for the firm.

The ideal candidate for the role will be ACA / ACCA qualified and will have a wealth of audit experience from an established practice background with previous staff management experience.
