Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with this leading and highly regarded independent firm of chartered accountants in Southampton who are now looking to add an ambitious Trainee Accountant / Accounts & Audit Assistant to join their Accounts & Audit team.

As a Trainee within this highly progressive firm you will join an already successful team and will undertake a varied and wide ranging role with exposure to all key aspects of life working in practice.

You will have responsibility for the preparation of year-end accounts and the associated tax compliance work for limited companies as well as some sole traders, and partnerships, and will also gain exposure to assisting on audit assignments.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified or may have recently begun studying towards their ACA / ACCA Qualification.

You will have experience of preparing year-end accounts and corporate tax computations and whilst existing audit experience would be beneficial, although full training will be given in this area. A desire to gain audit exposure is a necessity as this will definitely form part of your training and development in the role.
