Accounts Manager / Client Manager – Stoke-on-Trent£55,000 - £70,000 + Hybrid Working + Benefits
Clark Wood are working with a leading accountancy firm in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager.
This is a client-facing role with responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of OMB and SME clients, overseeing accounts and tax work and providing a more commercial, advisory-focused service.
The role would suit an ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE accountant with a strong practice background who is comfortable managing clients and taking responsibility for their own portfolio.
The Role

Manage a portfolio of OMB, SME and corporate clients
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients
Oversee and review statutory accounts and Corporation Tax work
Provide clients with accounting and commercial advice
Manage deadlines, workflow and client deliverables
Review work produced by junior members of the team
Work closely with Partners on key clients and business development
Identify opportunities to introduce additional services

About You

ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE
Previous experience within an accountancy practice
Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
Strong accounts preparation and review experience
Good knowledge of OMB and SME clients
Confident communicator with strong client management skills
Commercial approach with the ability to identify opportunities
Xero or QuickBooks experience would be advantageous
